Gotchas
- Credits don't roll over. At zero, exports block (429) until the renewal date unless you buy an add-on.
- An email costs 1 credit, a mobile number 10, and a lookup with no result costs nothing.
How Prospeo charges
Per-seat monthly credit pool (1 credit / email, 10 / mobile, 0 on no-result), no rollover. Buy a credit add-on or upgrade at exhaustion.
| Plan | Monthly price |
|---|---|
| Free | $0 |
| Starter | $49 |
| Growth | $99 |
| Pro | $249 |
Free allowance. 100 a month.
At zero. 429. No rollover; at 0 credits, exports blocked until reset — buy a credit add-on or upgrade.
- 5 requests per second, per key. Per-plan; Enrich 5/300/2,000 (Starter) → 30/1,800/500,000 (Pro).
Or let Argus track it
Paste the key once. Argus keeps the ledger, and your coding agent reads it through the MCP server.
- Reads the Prospeo balance every hour and keeps the series, so you get burn per day (top-ups never count as negative spend) and days until it hits zero.
- With the SDK, itemizes each call by endpoint and prices it at Prospeo's per-operation rates.
- Emails you on low balance, days to zero, a spend spike, or projected overage.
- Hands all of it to your coding agent over MCP, so it can ask what a run cost or how much runway is left without leaving the editor.

- Does Prospeo have an API for its balance?
- Yes. POST https://api.prospeo.io/account-information with your key in the X-KEY header returns your plan, remaining and used credits and the next renewal date.
- Can I get Prospeo spend per day from the API?
- Not as a series. Derive it from how much the balance drops each day, ignoring top-ups.
- What happens when Prospeo credits run out?
- Requests fail with HTTP 429. No rollover; at 0 credits, exports blocked until reset — buy a credit add-on or upgrade.
- What key does Argus need for Prospeo?
- A normal Prospeo API key.
