Terms of service

Last updated: October 20, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Thybris Labs, based in Texas, USA (“we”, “us”), for your use of Argus. If you use Argus on behalf of a company, you agree for that company and confirm you have authority to do so. By creating an account or using the service, you accept these terms and our privacy policy.

The service

Argus tracks spend, credit balances, usage, rate limits and runway across the API providers you connect, and makes that data available through a dashboard, alerts, an API, an MCP server and an SDK (together, the “service”). We may add, change or remove features over time. Figures Argus shows are estimates built from provider data and your telemetry; your provider’s invoice is the authoritative record of what you owe them.

Accounts

You must be at least 18 and give a valid email address. Keep your password and API keys secure; you’re responsible for activity under your account and keys. Tell us promptly at hello@argus.town if you suspect unauthorized access.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Connect credentials you aren't authorized to use, or use Argus to access accounts that aren't yours.
  • Break the law or a provider's terms through the service.
  • Probe, scan or test the service's security, or get around its rate limits, plan limits or access controls.
  • Send personal data, prompt or response content, or other sensitive data in telemetry metadata.
  • Overload the service, interfere with other customers, or resell it without our written permission.
  • Copy the service or reverse engineer it, except where the law allows.

Provider credentials

You supply the credentials Argus uses to read your provider accounts. You confirm you have the right to use them this way and that doing so complies with your agreements with those providers. Use read-only or least-privilege keys where a provider offers them. Argus only makes read requests, but provider API calls can occasionally incur charges, and we aren’t responsible for a provider’s fees, outages, rate limits, data errors or changes to its API. You can revoke a credential at any time by deleting the connection in Argus or rotating the key with the provider.

AI connector builder

On paid plans you can ask an AI agent to build a connector for a provider Argus doesn’t support yet. Check the numbers it reports before you rely on them. We review connectors built this way and may make the connector code available to other customers. Connector code never includes your credentials or your account data.

Fees, billing and renewal

  • Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually, through Stripe. Prices are listed on the pricing page and exclude taxes, which you're responsible for.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period, charging the payment method on file, until you cancel.
  • When you change plans, Stripe calculates any proration or credit for the remainder of the current period.
  • If a payment fails we'll retry it. If it still isn't paid, your project moves to the Free plan and its limits.
  • We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email. New prices apply from your next renewal after the notice period.

Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel anytime from the billing portal in Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep paid features until then, and your project then moves to the Free plan. We don’t refund partial billing periods unless the law requires it.

Free plan

The Free plan costs nothing and has the limits shown on the pricing page. We may change those limits, or discontinue the Free plan, with notice.

Availability

We work to keep Argus available and accurate, but we don’t offer a service level agreement or guarantee uptime. The service may be interrupted for maintenance, upgrades, provider outages or events outside our control. Alerts can be late or missed; don’t rely on Argus as the only safeguard against a provider account running out.

Your data

You own the data you put into Argus and the data it reads from your providers on your behalf (“your data”). You give us permission to host, process and display your data only to provide, secure and support the service for you. We don’t sell it. We may use aggregated, de-identified statistics about how the service is used to operate and improve it. If you send us feedback, we may use it without obligation to you.

Termination

You can stop using Argus and ask us to close your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, fail to pay, or use the service in a way that puts us, providers or other customers at risk; where practical we’ll give notice first. When an account is closed, we delete its data as described in the privacy policy. Sections about fees owed, your data, disclaimers, liability and governing law survive termination.

Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don’t warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that spend, balance, forecast or pricing figures will be complete or accurate.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, even if advised of the possibility. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$100. These limits don’t apply where the law doesn’t allow them.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We’ll change the date above and, for material changes, email account owners at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use Argus after that means you accept the updated terms; if you don’t, cancel before they take effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and both parties consent to their jurisdiction.
